Quality Statement
Nextway’s project management methodologies are based on software project management guidelines stipulated by suitable algorithms. With these world-class standards and a systemised quality management system of our own which is continuously upgraded, Nextway ensures the best quality in every aspect. The objective is to define and meet the quality goals of every project that are based on organizational quality goals as well as customer requirements. Since the quality goals are directly dependent on successful defect detection, correction and prevention, each project goes through the following reviews:
- Requirements & needs
- Analysis
- Design
- Prototyping
- Test Plan
- Test Case
- Code
- Test Results
- 3rd party software evaluation where ever applicable
There may be additional reviews introduced into the Quality Assurance Plan of a project, depending upon project size, complexity, customer requirements and other factors. Each of these are conducted based upon a methodology, which states how is to be carried out. For example, each review may involve multiple iterations that vary in scope and is conducted by different project stakeholders. Typically there are three kinds of review:
1. Peer-to-Peer (intra team)
2. External (extra-team, done by representative of organizational Quality Assurance group)
3. Customer / User Acceptance (extra-organization)
For project audit, a trained Quality Reviewer is nominated for every project that in turn is responsible for process observance in the project. Nextway audits every logical stage from project start-up, work product, delivery to completion.
The following are the audits/reviews that ensure process conformity and high-quality :
Project Start-up Audit
Beginning stage / ensure start-up process implemented effectively / Quality reviewer reviews plan documents.
Project Work Product Audit
At work products production / before their use in successive phases of development.
Process Audit
For process compliance/ based on sampling.
Project Delivery Inspection
Before project delivery.
Project Completion Audit
Ending process.
Project Metrics Audit
Data collection, metrics analysis and quality goals verification.
Configuration Audit
Configuration management activities verification.
Quality indicators and metrics system are used to determine software product, service conformity, development progress and process effectiveness. Benchmarks for different indicators are defined at organization level, based on experience along with tailored guidelines. Nextway defines quality goals for each particular project, collect & analyze data and take remedial actions if deviated from the defined benchmarks. The measurements include defects, size of the software and effort taken for various software development activities. Organization level benchmarks are customized and the original speculations are revalidated, if deviations from the benchmarks established. Access to the data is appropriately controlled and the data is used for measuring & monitoring the performance of the process, not that of individuals.
